Gabriel Kovach

Gabriel has been principal of the Phoenix Symphony since 2006. He previously served as principal of the National Arts Center Orchestra in Canada as well as the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Opera Philadelphia, Delaware Symphony, and Glimmerglass Opera. He has toured with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. He performed at the Marlboro Music Festival from 2001-2003 and returns in 2022 as a Senior Artist. Mr. Kovach holds a Master’s degree from the Juilliard School and a Bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music where he is currently on the faculty of their SummerFest program. Mr. Kovach is an Endorsing Artist for Conn-Selmer instruments.
